Meta has confirmed that all Workplace instances will be permanently deleted on June 1st 2026. For many organisations, that deadline is closer than it feels - Workplace has been in read-only mode since September 2025, meaning content can no longer be updated, and the clock on data retention is already running.

Two Packages Built for the Deadline

Cocentric has two ready-to-go migration packages designed to move quickly without cutting corners.

Workplace Data Extraction is built for organisations that primarily need to meet data retention requirements. It provides a clean, unmanipulated export of all users, groups and content - stored securely in SharePoint and fully browsable via search and file explorer. Typical delivery is one to three weeks.

Workplace Migration goes further, handling a full user and content migration to a target platform - including Viva Engage setup and technical configuration within Microsoft 365 - for organisations ready to launch their new employee communications environment fully populated from day one. Typical delivery is two to four weeks.

Both packages include a step-up tier for organisations with more complex requirements, covering custom data storage, high-volume migrations of 10,000 or more posts, and bespoke content mapping.
