In this blog post, we want to share with you some insights from a recent Microsoft Viva Event that took place last Thursday. The focus of this event was on the integration between Viva Engage and Microsoft Co-pilot to increase productivity in businesses.

The Performance Equation: Engagement x Productivity = Performance

One of the main topics that were discussed at the event was Microsoft’s performance equation, which states that Engagement x Productivity = Performance. This equation highlights the importance of having an engaged workforce to increase financial output.

A study conducted in 2022, on 220 companies found that the top 10% of companies with the most engaged employees recorded a 35% increase in financial output, compared to the 10% least engaged companies. This just goes to show how important it is to have an engaged workforce.

Viva Engage: Increasing Engagement and Building Feedback Flywheels

Viva Engage is a key tool for increasing engagement in the workforce. It helps create clear communication channels, uplevels employee engagement, and builds feedback flywheels to unlock high performance.

Viva Engage is uniquely positioned to leverage familiar social media tools and multimedia content to drive engagement and two-way conversations. This means that employees can communicate with each other and with their managers in a more dynamic and engaging way.

Microsoft Co-pilot: Augmenting User Experiences and Democratising Data

Microsoft Co-pilot is a powerful AI tool that helps augment user experiences, democratise data, and reduce time spent on time-intensive tasks, such as drafting emails, finding answers, and creating documents using data across the Microsoft O365 suite and within Viva Engage.

By using Microsoft Co-pilot, employees can get quick and accurate answers to their questions, without having to spend time searching for the information they need. This can be a huge time-saver and can help increase productivity.

Viva Glint: Personalised Analytics for Driving Performance Engagement

Microsoft is also introducing Viva Glint this summer, which blends Viva Engage and rich AI-driven feedback. This means that every manager can see a personalised dashboard of analytics to drive performance engagement.

By using Viva Glint, managers can get a better understanding of their employees’ engagement levels and sentiment and can take action to improve engagement and performance.

Final Thoughts

In conclusion, the Microsoft Viva Event was an excellent opportunity to learn more about how Viva Engage and Microsoft Co-pilot can help increase productivity and engagement in businesses. By leveraging these tools, employees can communicate more effectively, get quick answers to their questions, and increase their productivity.
